Turning Waste into Worth: Environmental Awareness Campaign in Association with RAAC

The awareness session was led by Ms. Akshaya, who engaged students from PYP 1 to MYP 5 in an inspiring and interactive discussion on the importance of waste segregation, recycling, and responsible waste management. Through practical examples and thought-provoking insights, students discovered how small, mindful actions can create a significant positive impact on the environment.
The programme encouraged students to view waste not as a problem, but as a valuable resource that can be reused, recycled, and transformed to support a more sustainable future. The session also highlighted the role each individual plays in protecting our planet through conscious everyday choices.
As an extension of the campaign, Manchester International School has launched a three-week Waste Collection Drive, inviting students to collect recyclable paper and plastic waste from their homes and participate in the Recycling Competition. This initiative provides students with a meaningful opportunity to apply what they have learned while contributing towards a cleaner and greener community.
At Manchester International School, we believe that nurturing environmentally conscious citizens begins with education, awareness, and action. Through initiatives like these, we continue to inspire our students to become responsible global citizens who care for the world around them.
Together, let's transform waste into opportunity and make every small action count. 🌱♻️
